Review: The X model is ready to race right out of the box.
Even if you don't race, you have full control of
how your quad rides and handles with the fully
adjustable shocks. This thing handles better than
any quad I have ever ridden and I haven't even
touched any of the adjustments (other than
checking to see what they were set on; which is
right in the middle). This means I can go either
softer or firmer, higher or lower ride height, if
I ever feel the need. The power is where the real
excitement lies! This thing is a BEAST! It's
amazing how the 800 Renegade can pull the front
tires off the ground at will, especially when you
consider the weight of a Big Bore 4x4 (622 lbs in
this case). Powersliding is effortless as well.
Even with all this power, you always feel in
control; a true testiment to how well the design
of the very unique chassis performs. The 4x4
system is unbeatable as well. It is simply
activated by the push of a rocker switch. You
don't even notice the difference once in 4x4,
other than feeling like there is no obstacle or
terrain you can't conquer. The ViscoLok front
differential works seemlessly with no input
required from the rider. When needed, it smoothly
engages the wheel with better traction and then
disengages once tire slip is eliminated. All done
automatically, usually without the rider ever
feeling it! Can-Am has built the ultimate 4x4
race/utility/trail quad in the Renegade, and made
it even better with the X. Features: Looks!
800 V-Twin power and sound!
CVTransmission with engine braking.
TTI rear suspension.
Super comfortable seat.
DESS security system.
Kayaba piggyback/remote resevoir shocks with hi/lo speed compression, rebound adjustments, and threaded shock bodies.
Front & center skid plates.
Barkbuster handgaurds.
Aluminum taper bar and pad.
Stainless Steel braided brake lines. Improvements: Floorboard skids
Rear skid for the 6 or 7 inches of exposed frame
Front A arm guards with more CV boot protection
Lower price without losing quality, if possible (06/11/2008 by VTwinRocket)
