I know Jimmy very well. The is an asshole!!!!!!!!!
I would like to make a revision. The bike we were looking at was actually a 2009 Streetglide, not the leftover 2008 as noted. In the beginning of the visit the salesman was trying to push the leftover 08 on our friend.
I recently went to Williams Harley Davidson in Lebanon, New Jersey. We went with a friend of ours who was interested in buying a Harley and was ready to make a purchase on the spot. The only problem was the salesperson "Jimmy". He was rude from the start! The bike our friend was looking at was a leftover 2008 Ultraglide, seeing the economy we thought that they would at least want to work out a deal that would be good for both sides. We were dead wrong. When we asked what the best price he could give us was he laughed in our faces and said he didn't know what was wrong with people over in Jersey, but he was from New York and over there the price is the price. He also informed us that he wasn't raised to haggle and if my friend was smart he would take advantage of the price because in his opinion the economy was booming. He literally said there was nothing wrong with the ecomomy and that's why the price was non-negotiable!Mind you he also said how many people come in to buy bikes from him everyday and they're flying off the floor. The showroom was empty when we went and it was at peak hours!NOT ONE CUSTOMER BESIDES US! He then went into a speech about how when he went to trade in his last SUV the dealer gave him a price for a trade in and that was that...he doesn't do discounts. We proceeded to tell him what other pricing we had gotten from other Harley dealerships in the area. He said he would give $400.00 off of the price tag and a couple of oil changes on a $21,300.00 bike (that price tag still didn't include taxes, fees, etc.)After only being in the office for 5 to 10 minutes discussing the bike (we were on our best behavior by the way, even as the salesman laughed in our faces)"Jimmy" proceeded to end the conversation by standing up and telling us that was that meeting over. He actually walked away from a customer and a sale!Bottom line is if you want a good deal DON'T GO TO WILLIAMS HARLEY!Our friend is taking his business elsewhere.
