| We recently purchased a Harley from this dealer.
The Business Manager (who handled our financing
paperwork) said I would receive a year's
membership with HOG along with my purchase. He
said my wife (who is listed as co-owner of the
motorcycle) would receive a year's membership
also. My wife did NOT receive her membership. He
said we would receive a one-year membership with
the HOG Chapter. I advised him that we lived 4
hours away, and he asked what dealership was
closest to us. I did not receive the free
membership at my close dealership, but only at the
HOG club in Forth Worth (4 hours away). The
Business Manager listed a $715 GAP charge for GAP
insurance on our contract. My wife asked if it was
required. He said yes. After calling several other
dealers, I found it was NOT required. My wife
mentioned that the physical address was listed
correctly, but that we did not receive mail at
that address and to be sure and put in our P.O.
Box for mailing purposes. He said ok. When we did
not receive our payment notice in time to make our
first payment, my wife called H-D Finance, and
they said that the payment notice had been
returned undeliverable. This was because the
Business Manager never fixed our address like he
said he would. Because if this, our payment was
late. We are happy with our financing, our
salesman, and our bike, but the Business Manager
does not care anything about his customers. We
will have to contact Harley-Davidson to change our
HOG Chapter membership to our location due to the
Business Manager's signing us up to one that is 4
hours away, even though we told him what
dealership we were near, and the city the Chapter
would be located in. Don't trust what they say.
Also, they did give us 2 T-shirts, but what they
said was that they were going to give us "lots of
stuff". Well their definition of "lots of stuff"
was 2 T-shirts and SEVEN business cards from the
people they took us around to meet....and they
didn't even have a selection of T-shirts for my
wife. Most of them are large or extra large or
extra extra large. We also received a card with a
long list of the stuff that they do to bikes to
get them in top notch condition before they put
them out to sell. Then when we asked the service
person if certain ones of them were done, he
didn't even know that those things were on the
list, and had not done them. The tags on the bikes
with their 29-point (or some such number)
checklist that we paid $249 for ARE NOT TRUE. We
were not happy campers with the dealer prep items
not done or the Business Manager, and we will
never go to Fort Worth H-D again for anything! (10/22/2009) |
