KAWASAKI of Reno: Do not believe anything the shipping and service department tells you. They will lie about anything to cover up their inaction. Specifically, Casey and Elliott. They will say they are going to check on something and you will NEVER get a return call. You have to call them. They will tell you an item has shipped and then you wait and wait. You call for status a week later and it magically got misplaced in the “out basket” or it mysteriously got mislabeled and sent to the wrong address and the original tracking number cannot be located, but a new tracking number will be assigned and a replacement item will be shipped. My all-time favorite is “Oh, I mailed that a week ago. I will send another one so now you will have two of them” Don’t hold your breath, the first so called shipment was a figment of somebody’s imagination and the item second item is postmarked after you rag on them and call and call. Casey is the worst about not returning calls. Elliott is bad about making excuses to cover inaction on their part and trying to pass it off as reality. If it doesn’t pass the smell test, question everything. Get a postal number, tracking number…. Anything to validate what they say. I don’t have any complaints about the sales side. John did what he said he would do. He treated me fair and made a good deal on my purchase. If sales (John) makes any commitment about follow on service or parts, RUN AWAY. He has no control over them. Go to Carson or any other big city. If you only need to buy a bike and not worry about any service, Reno is your place.
I bought my first bike here and was treated well. I think I was mesmerized by the hottness of my dealer \'Griffiths\'...mmm mmm bitch. He was hella hot and had a nice bulge under them Levi\'s (front and back). I just wanted to mmmmm smack that ass! The guy who delivered the bike had a nice ass too. He was cute and had slutty eyes. I\'d play with that. Anyways, aside from being sexually frustrated with having to contain myself to keep from leaping on those guys and having fun, I would say that I am \"satisfied\" and looking for more...I just wish I made a sluttacious move when I had the skank chance...damn.
I\'ve been riding for a long time and have nothing but a good experience with this shop and Elliot in parts is great, Keep up the great work guys!!!
This is a nightmare experience. The shop is unresponsive, is not proactive, will not return calls, will not listen to the owner and appears to have very limited troubleshooting/repair skills. I made an appointment to bring in my Artic Cat ATV for repare. After two weeks I called the service dept and was told they hadn't really had time to look at it. I asked why they would make an appointment if they were not ready to work on it, they had no answer. I clearly defined the problem with the ATV when I dropped it off. The mechanic would not listen and spent time servicing the carberator which could not have been the problem. I carefully explained to him why that could not be the problem. After the carberator was adjusted it did not fix the problem (big surprise). After another week of waiting they finally agreed that it was the transmission (which what I told them in the first place). According to their service department they order a part then found out they needed another part ordered that part then found out they needed another. Then they found out the last part could only be had in a kit. So evidently they had to remove the previous parts and order the kit. After two months I asked to speak to the manager. I had the exact same experience as the post on 2/06/09. The owner would not even listen to me. He just kept telling me over and over again that it was not their fault it was Artic Cats. I ask if he was going to listen to me several time and he refused. He finally said come get your ATV I am done with it. DO NOT BRING ANYTHING IN HERE FOR REPAIR. I suggest that if you cannot depend on future service you should not buy anything here either. I purchased my ATV here and I am sorry I did.
I never felt like the sales person cared about me. He didn't pay attention. It appeared he had some other problem going on & didn't have time for me. I bought another brand. Oh well.
John will give you a good deal on buying, but the service department is lost. I brought my bike there explained to two people what the problem was and how I tried to fix it. They said the noise was from a dry chain and charged me $107 for a service. They told me the mechanic drove it. I took it for a ride because I had told them I lubed the chain trying to get rid of the squeal, and in less than one minute it started squealing again. This squeal is so loud I have had other riders stop thinking I was beeping my horn to get their attention. I bought the bike in with 997 mile, after I took my test drive it had 998, so they couldn't have checked it out too well. I was complaining about them doing a service but not fixing the original problem, the owner did not even want to hear my story, he just shut me up three times. I told John maybe if he would listen to the conflicting information I was given maybe he would understand, he still would not listen. I told him to go away then, he told me he owns the store and will stand there if he likes. Not the best way to treat customers. They then opened the door, put my bike outside and closed the door. A fitting send off for the way I was treated. If you can get your bike serviced elsewhere you could buy it here, but I will not step foot in the place again. The most unorganized service department I have ever seen, and I have owned more than 40 bikes, 12 of them new. They can't even get their stories the same. I also waited three plus hours for my bike to be delivered when I bought it because they forgot I was coming in. I watched the bike, nobody was even prepping it until I complained after two hours.
