Probably the nicest, most caring business owner I have ever dealt with! I will deal with them again!
Was having problems with my lawn tractor. The engine was blowing white smoke when it started up and was running very rough. The warranty was still good on it so it was taken to Max Powersports in Winchester to be checked out.. Weeks went by and they didn't fix it or call me back. Finally I gave up and told them to just bring it back to me. Still works but the problem was not fixed.
I am hoping you can help me out. In May, we bought a brand-new Husqvarna lawn tractor at the Ruckersville, VA store. We purchased the warranty on the mower. About one month after purchasing it, we noticed that the gas tank was leaking and the gas pedal was sticking. Incidentally, the gas pedal sticking caused my husband to lurch forward and crash into our kid\'s swing set, damaging the front of the mower. Unfortunately, despite the mower misfunctioning, we were told by the company hired to fix the mower that Husqvarna would not fix the damaged hood. Very disappointing, but we were willing to deal with it. The employees at Lowe\'s were friendly and helpful, but we have run into serious issues with the company hired by Lowe\'s Service Advantage to fix the mower, MaxPower Sports out of Winchester, Va. Not only did they have the mower for three weeks, but also we could never reach anyone there to get a status on the mower. Today, they simply dropped it off without so much as ringing the doorbell to let us know it was here. When we got it back today, the gas pedal wasn\'t fixed and it was obvious that the mower had been setting outside for who knows how long. To make matters worse, one of the back tires is flat and it appears that some dry rot is setting in. We kept the mower in a dry garage, so this damage has occurred while in the possession of MaxPower Sports. My husband repeatedly mentioned the gas pedal, asking again and again if it would be fixed, so they were aware of the problem. No one ever called us to explain why the repair didn\'t happen. We\'re extremely upset with this situation. We payed a big chunk of money for the warranty so that we could protect our investment. Instead, we\'ve had to go without a mower for three weeks. When it finally was returned, the work we requested was not done and, in fact, the mower is in worse condition than when MPS picked it up. We\'ve lost confidence in the Husqvarna brand and in the Lowe\'s Service Advantage, feeling that the latter was a huge waste of money. We also feel Lowe\'s owes some some sort of restitution, since we were unable to pick the place that would repair the mower under the LSA. That was completely out of hands, and we received very poor service as a result. Ideally, the mower would be replaced given the number of issues we\'ve had in the short time we\'ve owned it. At the very least, we feel that four new tires, as well as Lowes providing a new business that can fix the gas pedal are reasonable requests. Who knows what other damage was done while the mower was in the care MPS.
The facts are that this has to be one of the worst service/repair shops in this country. No, make that in this world. I have Toro lawn tractor that is less than a year old that needed a new solenoid. This is a very basic repair; however, because it was under warranty, I allowed my tractor to be sent to this place by a Home Depot subcontractor name NEW. Maxx Powersport kept my tractor for over 2 months and did nothing with it. I would call them every 2 weeks to inquire about the status of my tractor. Each week, it was a new excuse or they would tell me that they would \"call me\" back, but never, not one time did they return any of my calls, the the point where I literally considered filing a crimal complaint after having to ask them to return my tractor and their not returning my calls. Bottom line is that this has to be one of the worse places on earth for any type of repair. This is based on my very painful experience. The guy \"Rob\" actually had the nerves to say to me \" I really hate it when this happens\". He actually blames the warranty company for his failure/refusal/inability to replace a $14.00 solenoid. His claim is that it has taken 2 months to replace the $$13.00 part because he was waiting for the part to come in. Can you believe that, in the year 2012. This isn\'t 1926, when parts had to be ordered out west and come in 2 or 3 months later by rail. From this point on, I will avoid this place like the plague.
