I believe Longshore has a bright future. Why? Because the success of a business is usually measured by the integrity and hard work of the people who run it. I am a recent customer of Longshore\'s parts department. Of the five or so other ATV dearlers in the area, Longshore stands miles ahead - because they care about the customer. They did not know me from Adam and even though the level of service they provided to me was not immediately profitable to them, they went WAY above and WAY beyond the call of duty to ensure that I was taken care of, and most importantly to me - in a timely manner. I HIGHLY recommend them to everyone. Now, a month or so later, I can say with more certainty than ever, that Longshore cared more about meeting (actually, very much exceeding) my needs than about their own profitability. You almost NEVER find that in a business anymore. THANK YOU Longshore!
" While riding the Trans American Trail I recieved damage to my KLR 650 and was injured due to a collision with a tree. Longshore Cycle Center,Florence,AL expidited delivery of reqd. repair parts and as a courtesy to help me get back on the road, installed the parts at no charge. A great group of people at this dealership, and they deserve recognition. "
Longshore is extremely courteous, knowledgable, with the best service i have seen. The prices are a small amount higher, but the customer care is lightyears ahead. If you just feel a need to burn more gasoline, drive to corinth. I like being remembered when i return for service
I have been forced to buy a few parts from Longshore because they are the only dealer in town. I am shocked at the price for parts and poor customer service you get from their sales people, parts and service dept. I have paid as much as four times the price quoted by other dealers and other sources. Their attitude is snotty and aloof. They need some competition.
I have been buying parts from Longshore for slightly over one year. I have only had good buying experiences as a result. The parts department staff is knowledgeable and willing to get what you need at a fair price. I use their service department as well. They have always had a quick turnaround on the items I have left with them. In addition, I purchased a bike from them this summer. I found their sales staff to be friendly and willing to help me find a bike to fit my needs.
I buy most of my parts and accessories for my bike from longshore. I have shopped around and on the parts I checked on they were cheaper on most, and about the same on other but they were more helpful than the other shops around. Guess it depends on what you buy.
Parts at longshore are out of this world.Call around before you buy anything from them you will be suprised.
I live in the Florence area. I have purchased three street bikes (cruisers)from them. All my interactions with them have been great. Each time they delivered a quality product at a fair price. Each person I interacted with acted in a professional manner. Everything went as smooth as one could ask for. I use their service department for things I can't do myself. They have always solved whatever problem I had. Not long ago they remodeled the store. Nice improvements. Especially the parts dept.
I have dealt with them in the past and find it hard to believe that someone has paid $700 and the problem wasn't fixed. I have purchased 3 different bikes from them. One had a warranty issue and they took care of everything with no problem. Both the service manager and the tech have been there more than 20 years and they seemed to know what they were talking about. I also deal with their parts department frequently and they are extremely helpful. I think that Longshore Cycle is going in the right direction. The two sons seem to be more enthusiastic and care a lot more than other dealerships that I have been in. I know where my next bike will come from!
Longshore could care less if they sold you somthing or not.Theres no other cycle shops around the shoals;but lakehill motors is just one hour away and they want to sell you a bike/atv/watercraft.
I took my seadoo to the service dept.because it would not run. When I returned to pick it up I went to the boat ramp across the street and put it in the water and after paying 700.00 ;it would not even turn over much less crank.Icarried it back and he said it needed a new crankshaft and seals. He got it to crank but only to slang oil all over it out of the cylinder.HE said min. 1500.oo to fix it.Ihave bought several atv;s and two seadoos but my last atv came from Lakehill motors.Im going to buy my next atv/watercraft from Lakehill motors. This is just one of many bad dealings Ive had with Longshore. They suck.
Longshore cycle center is very professional, but still very down to earth place to buy from!! They are very nice and try their best to meet your specific needs! I would highly recommend purchasing from them!!
I live in the Florence area and have had great experiences at Longshore Cycles in Florence, AL. I have not purchased a bike from them; however, I use their parts and service departments exclusively. Parts arrive quickly and are sold at a fair price.
I am a local here in Florence Al and have had the displeasure of dealing with longshore and the incredably poor customer service they have there. I have on three different occasions went to Longshore with purchasing either PWC, Motorcycle or ATV in mind and ended up turning away in just pure discust of the motivation, manners, and overall customer service the salesmen have there! To me and several of my friends the salesmen or -man- they have is just entirely careless if he sells you a vehicle or not they will just stand there and let you ask questions and stare off into a daze as if they want you to hurry up! It seems they try to sum you up as if you are going to buy or not, if they think you have money maybe they would put a pitch on you or conversate obout the vehicle in question. I am not sure because most of my freinds are of a higher class living status and they to say this and take there business elsewhere! ALL three times I purchased these vehicles 2005 shadow spirit, 2007 Honda Rancher, and now a 2008 VX deluxe waverunner I have taken my business all the way to Lakehill Motors in Corinth MS! They will NOT negotiate their price PERIOD but in my experience have beaten any price I have found!(In the northern Alabama Georgia Tennesse Mississipi range) Do yourself a favor and call ANY of the local repair shops or dealers and they to will quickly inform you of the lack in customer service and the way they do not stand behind their labor or warranty on new vehicles. This is your fair warning it's up to you if you do the research and use good judgement instead of impulse buying your next toy!
