The 2016 Polaris GENERAL 1000 EPS Base is a Sport Utility Style ATV equipped with an 999cc, Liquid Cooled, Parallel Twin, DOHC, 4-Stroke Engine and a Continuously Variable (CVT) Transmission. It has a Selectable 4X2 / AWD driveline.

The GENERAL 1000 EPS Base has a Independent Double A-Arm Front Suspension with 12.3 inches of travel while the Independent Rear Suspension has 13.2 inches of travel. The GENERAL 1000 EPS Base has Front Hydraulic Disc Brakes and Rear Hydraulic Disc Brakes.
