I recently traded my 2011 Can Am Commander in on a 2015 Can Am 1000 XMR. I was pleased with the performance of my previous Can Am and after 5 years of racing and some serious mud riding it never failed me !!!! After purchasing the new 1000 XMR we brought our jeep and new Can Am to a resort called Muddy Joe's in south Ms. I took the jeep and my wife took the new Can Am. After 8 miles the Can Am started smoking out the snorkel and fiber from the belt was visiable. My wife tried to make it back to the trailer, but I wound up pulling it back with the jeep. The Can Am had a total of 9.6 miles on it. As advertised the Can Am has a CVC and has no wrong gear, but the Dealer insists that we should have had it in low range unless we were traveling over 45 mph. Has anyone else had this experience with the 1000 XMR ???? Really just rating the service not the Can Am !! I haven't got to ride it enough to evaluate ! In case there is any questions on my wife's ability to operate the XMR, she and I have owned and raced on motor cross and mud tracks for the passed 8 years !!
