SUMMARYThe 2009 Yamaha FX Nytro XTX is a Trail Style Snowmobile equipped with an 1049cc, Liquid Cooled, Horizontal In-line, DOHC, 4-Stroke Engine and a Continuously Variable (CVT) Transmission.
It has a Independent Double Wishbone Front Suspension with 8.5 inches of travel. The Dual Shock CK Rear Suspension has 14.5 inches of travel with a Shock Mounted Adjustment. The FX Nytro XTX has Rear Hydraulic Disc Brakes. The FX Nytro XTX was introduced in 2008 and is New for 2009. It includes a 12 month Limited warranty. I purchased my new Nytro XTX in November 2009, rode it one weekend in early December for 230 miles before it fried the engine control unit 16 miles from civilization?!
Now 6 weeks later and the best Yamaha "Customer Service" can do is report that a replacement part is expected to get through customs in mid-February, and will be shipped through a warehouse in WI before being forwarded to my dealer in Michigan.
So, $10,000 out of pocket for one weekend of riding and the best my customer service representative can offer is maybe the 2010/2011 season will be better...
