The Sportsman 550 EFI XP has a Independent Double A-Arm Front Suspension with 9 inches of travel while the Independent Double A-Arm Rear Suspension has 10.3 inches of travel. The Sportsman 550 EFI XP has Front Hydraulic Disc Brakes and Rear Hydraulic Disc Brakes.

THE xp has to many issues starting with the wiring harness,engine light coming on all the time, gear selector switch, sterring issues A PILE OF GARBAGE---- WALK --BUY A HORSE,OR A LAZY DONKEY IT RUNS THE SAME

Piece of Junk to many problems to list, if you have a 09 550 xp trade it in for a donkey its cheaper

I purchased this quad and within five months and 400 miles the check engine light has come on over 25 times. My dealer and Polaris both say it is a nuisence code and they have had the same problem with others but there is no way to fix it and to disregard it. I don't see how anyone can market a new quad and not plan to fix it while it is within warrenty. I will never buy another Polaris for as long as i live.
