The 2009 Can-Am Renegade 500 EFI is a Sport Style ATV equipped with an 499.6cc, Liquid Cooled, V Twin, SOHC, 4-Stroke Engine and a Continuously Variable (CVT) Transmission. It has a Selectable 4X2 / 4X4 driveline. The Renegade 500 EFI has a Double A-Arm Front Suspension with 8.5 inches of travel while the Independent Rear Suspension has 9 inches of travel. The Renegade 500 EFI has Front Dual Hydraulic Disc Brakes and Rear Hydraulic Disc Brakes. The Renegade 500 EFI was introduced in 2008 and is Carryover for 2009. It includes a 6 month Limited warranty.

Review: Bought it in June 09. I wanted a sport quad and didn't need baskets. I tried the 800 Renegade out and found I was just holding on...the quad rode me..way too much fun. The 500 is the perfect balance of power and fun. Get the winch,you may need it. Overall, I love this quad. It has enough power for me and I can throw it around in the corners.low range is awesome for those steep grades...the holdback is incredible.

Features: The throttle...hit it and your gone. I like the looks and the stance. I got the skidplate,handlebar guards and the BRP bag for the rear..get the bag,it doubles as a backpack is great for carrying water and snacks,etc.

Improvements: Tires, if you are doing any mud or water riding. They plug up real qick in mud. And if you are in mud, you are gonna get very dirty...the lack of fenders seems to throw all the mud at the rider.But isn't that why your in the mud?
