PAYMENT CALCULATORKEY DIFFERENTIATORSPARTS/ACCESSORIESREVIEWS/AWARDSI have a 2008 Grand Vista. 6900 miles on it. Started it up and rode down the street-heard loud whining sound, pulled over and tried to restart....engine had loud clanking sound when key was turned off. Hit the kill swith, engine would still not turn off and loud clanking noise continued. Finally after about 5-8 minutes clanking sound wound down and now scooter is dead. Any thoughts? Had service every 1500 miles. Bought it new. Took very good care of it. now heart broken because it doesnt sound like an easy or inexpensive fix. It is my only transportation.
I bought this scooter from a dealer without riding it to replace the Kymco 150 I have been riding. I am 6ft 1 and having trouble fitting to it well. If I sit on the front part of the seat I am scrunched up, it I try and drive it sitting on the upper part of the seat I am too far back and don't feel safe. Either way it is hard for me to steer. I will be going back to the dealer tomorrow thinking this bike might just be a bad fit for someone very tall to see if the dealer will work with me.
I have a 2008 GV 250, and I absolutely love it. I rode it all last summer to work and back, and to run errands around town. I have had no trouble with it except keeping my husband off of it. I get about 65 miles per gallon.
Bought a new 2008 Grand Vista 250 2 months ago for commuting to/from work 20 miles round trip. Engine is reliable with plenty of power. At about 150 miles all 3 nuts for the driver's seat support vibrated loose and fell off. Reattached them with loctite and have not had a problem since. Now at 400 miles bike developed a knock in the front end due to loose fork tree bearing. Shouldn't ride it until this is fixed, as this is a safety issue. Not sure whether these are dealer prep issues or factory assembly issues. Will be bringing bike to the dealer this week. I love riding it, but I live in New England and am not sure at this point if the chassis will hold up to our roads, or what else is going to loosen up.
I like it, good for two up in urban traffic and touring roads were you stop allot to view scenery etc..
Road the 75mi grand loop at Yellowstone and it was wonderful!
I like running errands in town and it's quick enough to flow with the traffic and not impeding traffic.
Good 15 mile work commuter for wifey.
I have a 06 GV 250 that I bought used. I have 9500 miles on it and just rode it from Las Vega NV to San Diego CA. The ride was a joy. It does highway speeds with no problem, is stable in the wind and backwash of semi's. I have the captain chair seat and could almost go to sleep riding it. I wouldn't trade it for one twice the price. I love it.
I love the GV. I have a 2008. I drive it to work every day. I've got about 1300 miles on it and never had a problem. The best part is that it's just fun to ride.
Getting about 67 miles to the gallon. I ride it back and forth to work each day. I am a female and drive it about 45 miles round trip and love it !!!! Smooth ride. I go with the traffic flow, around 60 miles per hour and have no power problems at all. I weigh about 235 and it is a wonderful and good investment.
