The 2008 Honda FourTrax Rancher 4X4 Base is a Utility Style ATV equipped with an 420cc, Liquid / Air Cooled, Single-Cylinder, OHV, 4-Stroke Engine and a Manual / Automatic Clutch Transmission. It has a Selectable 4X2 / 4X4 driveline. The FourTrax Rancher 4X4 Base has a Independent Double Wishbone Front Suspension with 6.3 inches of travel while the Swing Arm Rear Suspension has 6.3 inches of travel. The FourTrax Rancher 4X4 Base has Front Dual Hydraulic Disc Brakes and Rear Sealed Drum Brakes. The FourTrax Rancher 4X4 Base was introduced in -10019- and is Carryover for 2008. It includes a 12 month Limited warranty.

Review: Awesome atv. Love the 4x4 and 2x4 shift option. Great for climbing hills, will go through tons of mud and other beatings. lol Out perfomed a bombardier 400 high output automatic on some pretty steep hills a few weeks ago. Nothing bad to say about it. Love it !!
Features: 4x4/2x4 shift option.
Improvements: Non found yet. Maybe if it came stock with a back up pull start, that would have been nice , since it is electic start only. Other than that, Great job HONDA!!

Review: Power is more responsive than the rest of the 400 class. Handles 2 ft of snow in the 4x4 option with no problems. Ground clearance not a problem. Will push a 48" plow in deep wet snow or semi-loose dirt with no problems. 4wd drive engages instantly. Very reliable machine and the strait rear axle isn't too rough for passengers.
Features: In 2wd you get a fun, sporty, great handling ride but with the option of 4wd for plowing, deep snow, deep mud, or pulling out dead elk.
Improvements: Can't think of any.
