Review: Based in Phoenix, Az, the first attribute of my Scrambler 500 deserving of mention is ability to handle the 110'F heat (efficient electric fan/liquid-cooling) and the second is the smooth power streamed from the 500cc motor. Sand, gravel, or dirt doesn't slow the 4x4 down, and the ability to take on mountain climbs and winding ledge trails is the reason I switched from a 700 sportsman. The lighter bike is both powerful and nimble, a valuable combination for day-long rides in the desertor mountains. Best of both worlds. The lighter bike doesn't sap energy like the heavier 4x4's.

Features: Electric start is sure & reliable, AWD pulls the bike thru slippery turns while feeling 'in control,' while staying in rear wheel drive gives the 'sliding' under control a nice variable option for swinging the rear axle on tight turns. High mounted headlamps look frumpy, but give best lighting I've experienced sofar at night. Seat isn't plush but very comfortable. The motor will kick up to 55mph almost as quickly as my 500 Outlaw, but Smooothly.

Improvements: An independent rear suspension would give a little more rear end clearance & improve ride quality over heavily obstacle-strewn 4x4 terrain, but overall, nice bang-for-the-buck quad package.
